New Demerara River Bridge
The New Demerara River Bridge project has reached a pivotal milestone with the installation of the first of 472 precast girders. Minister of Public Works, Bishop Juan Edghill, observed this development on November 15, 2024, marking a new phase in the bridge's construction. The project is currently 75% complete and remains on track for its revised completion date of March 31, 2025. This bridge is designed to significantly improve connectivity and is expected to enhance regional economic prosperity.
